Movement of Light, number three.
Cool blue-grey fills this vertical composition. A broad dark sweep rises on the left. Broken cream-white cloud crosses the upper centre and right, above a thin bright horizon and muted sandy foreground.
Dark and light seem to pass one another. Below them, the distant shore continues—a small, steady presence beneath the changing weather.
Long lines of swell rise beneath the horizon. Each travels towards us from somewhere beyond our sight. We watch them gather, break and disappear into the next arrival. The afternoon begins to feel immense, its passing measured in water.
