Movement of Light, number twenty-three.
Deep blue occupies the upper left. A softly edged pale blue-white cloud descends through the centre, carrying faint ochre accents. A bright golden-orange streak runs along the bottom.
The cloud is soft and elusive, almost dissolving as it descends. Orange gives the painting a brief pulse of warmth.
Already, the walk is becoming memory. Each wave arrives from a distance we cannot measure, breaks, and returns to the sea. We have passed through these moments together, yet none can be held. Perhaps this is what remains: the knowledge that we were here, beneath this changing sky, while the world continued its ancient motion.
