Movement of Light, number twenty.
Turquoise and blue-grey fill this vertical composition. Broken white strokes sweep across the top and left. A deep dark mass extends through the centre-right, above a pale sandy foreground.
The atmosphere breaks into many small movements. Turquoise opens between dark strokes, while white catches along their edges.
The sea is restless, its surface broken by wind. Foam gathers along the beach and is drawn away again. Beneath that turbulent skin, life continues beyond our sight. We stand at the margin of an immense inhabited world, hearing only what reaches the shore.
