Movement of Light, number seventeen.
Bright white curling strokes cross the top. A prominent golden-ochre cascade descends through the centre, surrounded by deep navy shadows. Pale horizontal bands stretch across the foreground.
Gold moves through the dark with a strong downward rhythm. The white above it feels wind-driven, almost breaking apart.
The storm draws close. Gold breaks through deep blue, and the sea rises beneath it. The music feels suspended within the greater sound of wind and water. We stand before the force of it, aware of our small place within a living world whose movements exceed us.
