Movement of Light, number thirteen.

A dark blue-grey cloud moves diagonally through a pale cream-grey sky. A bright white crest sits below it on the left. Rust-brown fills the foreground, with a thin pale horizon on the right.

The brightest light sits beneath the dark cloud. It feels like a sudden opening, low in the sky.

A wave reaches farther up the beach and washes across our footprints. We watch their edges soften, then disappear. The sand receives the next movement of water. There is a strange tenderness in this erasure, in the ease with which the shore releases the evidence of our passing.
