Transcript

Movement of Light, number eleven.

A cream-white crest rises near the upper left. Layers of grey and reddish-brown cloud fill the centre. A bright white sweep opens at the lower left, above a pale sandy foreground.

Light appears in several places, drawing the eye from one opening to another. Between them, the darker colours carry weight.

Light appears across the water in scattered passages. We follow one brightness until it vanishes, then find another farther out. The landscape reaches us in fragments. Between them, memory and imagination begin their quiet work, giving continuity to what we cannot hold in sight.
