Nihil de nobis, sine nobis
I explore how blindness can reimagine the ways we create, communicate, and understand the world. Diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease while studying fine art, my experience of vision loss became not a barrier, but a catalyst — opening new ways of seeing through touch, sound, and memory.
I work across disciplines to design multisensory exhibitions, artworks, and educational tools that challenge the dominance of sight and open up new pathways for access and connection. From biomedical research to community workshops, from the exhibition space to the classroom, I believe in the power of authentic, lived experience to lead innovation.
My art practice offers an authentic account of blindness — shaped by lived experience and informed by interdisciplinary research. It contributes to a deeper understanding of sensory perception and accessibility, particularly within scientific and cultural contexts. Inclusion is not treated as an afterthought, but as a foundational principle — one that ensures meaningful representation and genuine engagement. That’s why there should be nothing about us without us.
